LARC Very Small Size Soccer

El Torneo Mexicano de Robótica® (TMR) está asociado a diversas competencias internacionales, entre las que está el Latin American Robotics Competition (LARC) de la IEEE. Por primera vez se realizará en el TMR la categoría IEEE Very Small Size Soccer.

Reseña

La categoría IEEE Very Small Size Soccer (VSSS) consiste en una competencia de fútbol con robots cooperativos y autónomos de tres contra tres robots de 7.5 cm por cada lado, los cuales son controlados por una computadora que corre de forma autónoma durante el encuentro. Los competidores deben programar una estrategia previamente que será utilizada durante los dos tiempos que conforman el partido. Cada equipo lleva la cámara que utilizaran para concentrar a la computadora y poder distinguir los robots en la cancha.

Restricciones

La cantidad máxima de  participantes por equipo es de 6 competidores. 

Para el TMR 2020 es requisito de participación la presentación del Team Description Paper (TDP) con el formato IEEE (enlace de descarga) y una extensión de 4 a 6 páginas. 

Los profesores que acompañan al equipo y que desean contar con un diploma que reconozca su participación en el evento podrán inscribirse como mentores. El costo de inscripción de los mentores es el mismo que el de los concursantes. A los mentores no se les asigna lugar en la mesa de trabajo del equipo.

The “Torneo Mexicano de Robótica®” (TMR) is associated with various international competitions, including the IEEE’s Latin American Robotics Competition (LARC). It is the first time that we have the IEEE Very Small Size Soccer category in the TMR.

Introduction

In the IEEE Very Small Size Soccer two teams of 3 robots of up to 7,5×7,5×7,5cm play a soccer game. The robots are remotely controlled by a computer, but without human intervention. The computer processes the image of a video camera placed above the field and commands the robots.

Restrictions

To participate in IEEE VSSS, teams of up to 6 people can be registered. 

For the TMR 2020, the presentation of the Team Description Paper (TDP) with the IEEE format (download link) and an extension of 4 to 6 pages is a requirement of participation.

Teachers who accompany the team and wish to have a diploma that recognizes their participation in the event may register as mentors. The cost of registration of the mentors is the same as that of the contestants.
