“La categoría AutoModelCar está enfocada en el desarrollo de vehículos sin conductor. En esta categoría, los equipos deben participar con un vehículo a escala 1:10 totalmente autónomo que cuente con al menos las siguientes habilidades: navegación sin obstáculos (mantenerse en un carril), navegación con obstáculos estáticos y en movimiento (rebase de otros vehículos), así como estacionamiento. La evaluación del desempeño de los vehículos se realiza con base varios criterios como el tiempo de recorrido, número de veces que el vehículo sale del carril (a menos que esté rebasando), tiempo para completar un rebase, colisiones con obstáculos y calidad en el estacionado. Puesto que esta categoría busca fomentar la investigación sobre vehículos sin conductor, los equipos deben presentar un póster donde sintetizen la forma en que se abordaron y resolvieron las diferentes tareas. ”

“The AutoModelCar category is focused on the development of self-driving cars. In this category, teams must participate with a fully autonomous 1:10 scale vehicle with at least the following capabilities: navigation without obstacles (stay in the lane), navigation with static and moving obstacles (cars must be capable of passing another cars), and parking. Performance is evaluated based on several criteria, such as travel time, number of times the car goes out of the lane (unless it is passing another car), time to complete a passing, collisions with obstacles and quality of parking. Since this category is intended to promote research on self-driving cars, teams must present a poster summarizing the approaches and techniques used to solve the different tasks. ”
