Through this means we inform you that the 1st place in the Autonomous Drones Category of TMR2020 will obtain the direct qualification to participate in the competitions of the International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competitions (IMAV 2020).<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n

The IMAV is an annual event that brings together scientists, technologists and enthusiasts from all over the world interested in the research and development of small air vehicles. For the first time, the IMAV will take place in Latin America. Organized by INAOE, UDLAP and BUAP, the 12th edition of the IMAV 2020, will be held in Mexico, in the state of Puebla, from November 16 to 20, 2020.<\/div>\n

Attending the IMAV 2020 offers the opportunity to interact with distinguished researchers of the highest prestige in the area of small air vehicles, who participate in this event either as keynote speakers, presenting research articles or as participants in the competitions. The Autonomous Drones competition aims to develop drones that can fly autonomously and, through artificial intelligence algorithms, can execute actions that allow them to solve flight missions such as: evade obstacles, follow objects, autonomously fly a circuit of windows, among others. It is a unique category and teams are admitted with members from high school level accompanied by a mentor, undergraduate or postgraduate (it is not mandatory to have a mentor, but a team leader).<\/p>\n

Restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n

To participate in Autonomous Drones, a maximum of 10 teams with up to 5 participants can be registered, including the mentor. It is competed using any type of drone, as indicated in the respective regulations. However, the drone may not exceed a perimeter of 1 meter, taking the longest measurement from the tip of one propeller to another propeller.<\/p>\n

Teachers who accompany the team and who wish to have a diploma that recognizes their participation in the event, but do not require them to be assigned to the team work table, may register as mentors. The registration cost of the mentors is the same as that of the contestants.<\/p>\n

The result obtained in the Mexican Robotics Tournament does NOT give the right to participate in any international league.<\/p>\n

Hereby we announce that the winner of the 1st Place in the Autonomous Drone Category of the Mexican Tournament in Robotics 2020, will be granted a direct qualification to participate in the competitions of the International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competitions (IMAV 2020). <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The IMAV is an annual international event bringing together scientists, technologists and enthusiasts on the research and technological development of micro-air vehicles. For the first time ever, the IMAV will be organized in Latin America. Organized by INAOE, UDLAP and BUAP, the 12th IMAV 2020 will be held in Mexico, in the State of Puebla, between the 16th to the 20th of November, 2020. Attending the IMAV 2020 offers the opportunity to interact with highly recognized researchers in the field of micro-air vehicles, who participate in this event either as keynote speakers, presenting research and technical papers or as team members participating in the competitions. This a competition whose goal is the development and implementation of drones that can fly autonomously, this is, without human intervention. To achieve the latter, it is expected that competitors make use of algorithms based on artificial intelligence such that drones become able to perform flight missions such as: obstacle avoidance, object tracking and following, autonomous flight through a gate track, among others. This is a unique category that allows competitors from highschool (coached by a mentor), undergraduate or postgraduate level. For higher levels to highschool a mentor is not required by a team leader should sign up.<\/span><\/p>\n

Restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n

To participate in the Category of Autonomous Drones, a maximum number of 10 teams can registered in the competition, each team may register up to 5 team mates, including the mentor \/ leader. Any drone model can be used in the competition as far as it complies with the competition rules. However, a drone can not exceed a diameter of 1 meter, considering the diagonal distance from one propeler to the other.<\/p>\n

Teachers accompanying the team and who wish to have a certificate of participation in the vent, but who do not require a seat in the team & #8217; s working place, may register as mentors. The registration cost of mentors is the same as team members.<\/p>\n

At the moment, the result obtained in this competition, within the Mexican Tournament in Robotics, does not grant the right to participate in any international league.<\/p>\n
