LARC Open Challenge<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Mexican Robotics Tournament\u00ae is associated with several international competitions, among which is the Latin American Robotics Competition (LARC) of the IEEE. Annually, the TMR supports the winning team of the LARC Open Challenge to represent Mexico in the Latin American Robotics Competition.<\/p>\n

Because the LARC committee has not yet published the rules of the challenge that will be used during 2020-2021 and are commonly published after the date of the TMR, it has been decided that the LARC OPEN category challenge in the Mexican Tournament of Robotics\u00ae 2020 will be the same as used for 2019.<\/p>\n

Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n

In globalization, cargo traffic in a port has reached its operational limit, which makes it increasingly difficult to avoid delays in the departure of ships and trains that arrive daily. To solve this serious problem, an autonomous system is required that is capable of improving the process of unloading and loading containers on ships and trains to increase the efficiency of the port terminal and guarantee the demands of different companies.<\/p>\n

This is a challenge that professionals will have in the very near future. Thinking about a possible solution, this challenge was planned - reissued since (LARC \/ CBR 2009), that through this robotic competition, participants must develop a robot that is fast and accurate in handling containers. <\/p>\n

Restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n

To participate in the LARC Open Challenge, you can register teams of up to 6 people. Team members must be students of any level or have graduated from their study program no more than two years ago.<\/p>\n

For the TMR 2020, the presentation of the Team Description Paper (TDP) with the IEEE format is required (download link<\/em><\/strong><\/a>) and an extension of 4 to 6 pages.<\/p>\n

Teachers who accompany the team and wish to have a diploma that recognizes their participation in the event may register as mentors. The cost of registration of the mentors is the same as that of the contestants.<\/p>\n
